Medical Assisting w/ EKG and Venipuncture

Launch your healthcare career with NCNA's comprehensive Medical Assistant Program. This hybrid program prepares students for both the administrative and clinical responsibilities of today's physician offices, medical clinics, and outpatient healthcare facilities.

Students will receive training in:

Medical office administration, including patient scheduling, insurance processing, financial records, medical records, and professional correspondence
Clinical procedures and patient care
Electrocardiography (EKG)
Venipuncture knowledge and blood collection techniques
Certificates Awarded

Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive the following Certificates of Completion:

Medical Office Assisting
EKG Technician
Medical Assisting with EKG & Venipuncture

Graduates will also be prepared to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) national certification examinations.

Career Services

Career services and job placement assistance are provided to all graduates, helping connect students with employment opportunities at clinics, physician offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Evening: Monday–Friday | 5:00 PM – 10:30 PM

The following requirements should be accomplished for admission to the program:

  1. Completion of Enrollment Agreement
  2. Payment of Registration Fee
  3. Must be at least 18 years old
  4. Must possess a valid government issued ID
  5. Must speak, write and understand English
  6. Must submit proof of the highest level of education: Minimum - 12th grade, High School or General Education Diploma (GED). * Foreign graduates must have a high school diploma or transcript evaluated for 12th grade equivalency in the US.
  7. Must possess or in the process of obtaining a Social Security Number or TIN at the time of enrollment
  8. Submit CoVid 19 Vaccination record
  9. Completed medical history, physical examination and PPD signed by a physician or nurse practitioner prior to any direct patient care
  10. Current CPR certification with BLS prior to direct contact with patients
