Phlebotomy Technician

NCNA’s Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) program is designed to teach the knowledge in both the technical and procedural aspects of phlebotomy, including but not limited to the collection of blood specimens and venipunctures required by the CA Department of Public Health to become a Phlebotomy Technician.  NCNA’s CPT program includes theory and practical (hands-on) instruction. The program will teach students the concepts of:

  • Introduction to Phlebotomy and Infection Control
  • Legal issues in Healthcare
  • Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology
  • Phlebotomy Equipment and Supplies
  • Phlebotomy Procedures
  • Medical Terminology
  • Phlebotomy Fundamental Essentials

This program is designed for those who want to advance their career and/or are interested in starting a career in the medical field to become a phlebotomy technician.

This is a full 80-hour program (basic and advanced training with clinical placement) that is pursuant to Title 17 California Code of Regulations (17 CCR), Section 1034 (a)(2)

Length of Program: 2-4 months

Class Schedule: M-F (10:00am-4:00pm), M-F (5:30pm-9:30pm), Sat-Sun (10:00am-4:00pm)

Externship: Included

Total Cost: $3,346.50 

(includes Registration, Tuition, Materials, Supplies, Uniform, CPR Training, & Certification Exam)





The following requirements should be accomplished for admission to the program

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Completion of Enrollment Agreement 
  • Payment of Registration Fee 
  • Must submit proof of the highest level of education: Minimum - 12th grade, High School or General Education Diploma (GED). * Foreign graduates must provide foreign transcript evaluation
  • Must possess a valid government issued ID
  • Must speak, write and understand English
  • Must possess or in the process of obtaining a Social Security Number at the time of enrollment
  • Submit CoVid 19 Vaccination record
